Living life as a spiritual journey
Paying it forward
Height
I don’t know how high up I am,
I always thought I was like you,
Unable to kick my feet from the ground.
All I know is it’s cold and steep,
People here need to be tenacious.
There are those who give up halfway,
Those who see the edge as the end,
Those who feel powerless,
Those who look on with contempt.
Those few with vision who say, “I’m going there,”
Take a deep breath, inch forward step by step,
Until we're together, amid the same landscape,
Until we're together, tearfully lamenting life on high.
I want to tell you, I don’t know how high up I am,
Like you, my feet are planted on the ground.
But I often gaze into the void,
And I see I am merely dust in the universe,
My body on a journey, in a dream.
Together we are stargazers,
Understanding we're simply children of the universe,
And life is a realization of others' dreams.
Height is submission, height is awe, height is the river of life.

A tribute to the crews of National Geographic Explorer 2015
Thank you for being a genuine leader. Thank you for capturing beautiful moments.
Navigation is knowing where you want to go. Communication is knowing what you have to contribute.
Caring is always putting other people first. What you believe is what shapes your world.
If you see darkness, it is because a place indoor heart has not been illuminated.
The universe passes no judgement. Let it open your heart.
If the universe has a language, it is love.
What is the purpose of your life? To Explore? To Serve? Vision is the answer.
That sweeps aside all other challenges. Inspiration is a gift.
I may not remember what you said, but I remember how you made me feel.
Heaven on earth resides in all of us. You are a gift bestowed by life.
Rest because the world needs you.
Spread your wings, live every day of your life.
The end of everything is the beginning of something new.
